At Restaurant Marketing Systems we create a lot of material to make the public aware of the benefits of our information and services. I write most of the copy myself.              I don't want to sound like the guy in the nuthouse who breaks down in tears, but your program has had a profound impact on my life.

              In 1999 I was 49% owner of the operating company that I now own. I also now own 100% of the land and the building.   My landlord was my 51% partner.   I have a 300 seat restaurant in the country, and there was no competition until 3-4 years ago when overnight (well it felt like overnight) the chains moved in. In the course of a year a new exit was cut on the highway 8-10 miles south of me where 15 movie theaters (my county had no movie theater) were built with a Home Depot, a Wal-Mart and 22 corporate restaurants.   Dinner and a movie had never existed in my county or to my clientele. It exploded.

              Sales in January 1999 were $130,000 a month. My sales in January of 2000 plummeted to $80,000 a month. My partner said: you're out of here, I'm out of here, and we're selling the restaurant. I was a little panicked. My whole life had moved to this small country town.   I was engaged to be married and planned to adopt my wife's two kids. And suddenly not only was I not a big shot restaurant owner any more, but it was all going to be gone.   I screamed, yelled, hollered, my boss knew it was going to be tough to sell the restaurant with me as upset as I was. He said, Okay, You come up with $60,000 and I'll think about giving you a year.

              Of course, I was totally freaked out, I went to everyone that I knew.   I got the $60,000 and everything was on the line.   I put all my efforts into operations and managed to stay above water for a year.   The one smart thing I did was make my partner give me a buy out agreement.           

      

              After suffering for 9 months, in October I bought your program. In November, I opened it up.   In December I ran one ad that you showed in the materials. I had 400 responses in 7 days and I live in a city of 2000 people.   In January, my sales were up 11%, it's the only thing I did.   In February, my sales were up 14%, in March my sales were up 24%.   I started a couple other ongoing strategies from the Quick Start Guide.   I recovered 100% of my loss in that one year.   The next year we got another 12-14% increase. Now, I have 100% of the operating company, 100% of the land and the building; and instead of $800,000 we now do $1.3 million in sales and honestly, it was all sparked by that one ad. I am spending less on advertising than ever before, and North Georgia is buzzing about my restaurant. Today I am sitting on YTD 16.5% growth in a 20 year old restaurant.              We have to say, first of all, that becoming a member of RMS in January 2003 was the best thing we ever did for our business! At that point in time we had been in business for almost two years. In our second year alone, we spent $5000.00 on JUST radio advertising, and our sales went sideways. It was discouraging, as anyone knows. Subsequently, your Gold Inner Circle membership program seemed a reasonable alternative to try, with your focus on independent restaurants, especially with your money-back guarantee if we weren't satisfied.

              So, having your manual and some reading material, the first idea we learned from you that we put into action.    Our first attempt had a 20% response over our regular business!  

In February, we began a second strategy, which we still maintain today. It worked very well for us especially, being a new restaurant in a highly saturated restaurant market. At the beginning of March, we started our third strategy, which we do every month and have a 33% return on and it keeps getting higher.

We haven't been disappointed! We have so much information! Throughout the last year and a half, we have implemented a little of what info we picked up, fine-tuning what we had. We know more can be done, but we want to be sure we do things right, and so far we can testify to a definite positive growth in our business. In the last year and a half, sales have increased 30%.         

Twice we've been nominated for business of the year in the restaurant category through the local Chamber of Commerce, and this last spring we were chosen second – best restaurant in our category, an honor usually reserved for franchises! Record Numbers For 2004!

        I have been a member of your system since November 2003 and had trouble convincing my family partners that it would be worth it - so I used my own money - knowing that your systems would work.   

        A full year has passed and every one of my promotions and ideas has been a GREAT success.   Out total sales for 2002 were $689,984.23, out total sales in 2003 with only 2 months of RMS were 802,231.25.   After a full year of RMS our 2004 sales were $1,266,975.32.    Our goal for 2005 is $1.6 million in sales.   Since joining we have doubled out total sales and have set our goals to gain another 30% this year in increased sales.

              My family have become full believers!   This is just the beginning! Bottom line is that we are making more money than ever and customers think we are the best. We are the talk of the town!
